When Cowboy Hats and Line Dancing Writes Your Love Story
If you’re in the Chicago suburbs and interested in country line dancing at all, odds are you’ve heard of SaddleUp At Q located in Aurora, Illinois. For Abby and Shawn, it’s no surprise that the spark started on the dance floor and grew as they bonded over their mutual country souls. I couldn’t have been more excited when they approached me with ideas for their country engagement photos. I looove when my couples bring their ideas and passions to life! This was an such an incredibly fun day and – honestly? We created some of my all time favorite Chicago suburb engagement photos to date. And with 15 years of experience, that’s saying something.
We kicked off their engagement photos at the classic Danada Equestrian Center, where Abby stunned in a classic black dress complementing Shawn’s cowboy hat and belt. When we were planning the session, I immediately thought of Danada because of the fences, tall grass, and wildflowers. With the sun showing off with a warm glow and country sounds blasting from my speaker, it was literally the perfect start to the session.
Country Engagement Photos With Cowboy Boots on a Farm
For outfit number two, we headed to St James Farm Forest Preserve, aiming for a more relaxed vibe with denim and, of course, boots. While parking and getting things ready, we happened to notice a neat yellow vintage truck in the parking lot. No owner was in sight so we respectfully didn’t get too close to it, but took a few shots with it in the background for some extra fun.
Pickup Truck Engagement Photos That Tell Their Story
The highlight of Abby and Shawn’s engagement photos was closing out the evening with their beloved red pickup truck. Their first purchase together, it holds a lot of meaning in their love story. Both were adamant that it be included in the photos. We found a spot to park it on the grounds of St James Farm, right when the setting sun decided to burst with cotton-candy hues.
