“I love the way she treats me and puts me above everything else. The way she listens to my dumb stories and engages in all things I like. She keeps me young. The way she is willing to take control and know what is best at times.”
Sameer was dashing in his crisp blue suit, adoring his bride to be as the wind caught her hair and rippled through her flowing gown. They met just last year as they celebrated a mutual friend’s wedding. He had spotted her across the room, and just knew that he had to meet her. He finally got her number, and nine months later got down on one knee on the shoreline of Malibu, where she said yes. Now as they stood hand in hand and smiled at each other while I clicked my camera, I saw the love and friendship that has developed. They share a love for sports, adventures, trying new places, and laughing together.
Saleha says of him, “I love the fact that he is so loving and attentive to my needs. Everyday he makes it a point to ask how my day is going to make sure I’m doing okay despite how his day is. I love the fact that he makes my passions his passions to help me achieve those goals.”
We spent the first half of our session in the gorgeous Palisades Park, which is set on the bluffs overlooking the ocean and the nearby Santa Monica Pier. We then made it down to the pier, which is a place that they have spent many dates together. They love exploring new places and having desserts, so I thought it fitting that we include a little treat with their photos by the pier.
I love that I was able to capture their romance, friendship, and adventurous spirits. The day could not have been more beautiful and perfect (even with the busy crowds trying to catch Pokemon, ha!).
Her dress was seriously amazing! When she told me it was from Windsor, it didn’t surprise me. That is one of my favorite dress shops ever, for good reason!
Makeup was by Denise “Nisey” an artist for Dolled Up By Lulu. So perfect.
One of my favorite parts was getting casual and cozy down at the pier where they have spent many of their date nights together. A pink and blue snow cone was the perfect treat to cool down, and represent their love for getting desserts together!
Sameer hilariously loved the snow cone so much he couldn’t stop eating it, much to the dismay of Saleha when she saw that his mouth was starting to get stained! We kicked off our shoes and ran to the shoreline, chasing the last bit of sunlight we had before it disappeared behind the mountains. These cozy images are some of my favorites.
Life is so much fun with a best friend to share it with!
