When I moved to Southern California one month ago, I knew I would be photographing in terrain that is unfamiliar and much more diverse than the flatlands of Illinois. Little did I know JUST how gorgeous my new adventures would be!

This engagement session with Brittany and Adam in the incredible Big Bear Mountain is quickly becoming my favorite to date. My husband and I joined them for a full day double-date, starting with exploring the quaint little shops of Lake Arrowhead, and slowly making our way up through the mountain, where we eventually ended at Big Bear Lake. Most of these photos came from somewhere in the middle of the mountain, when I randomly squealed, “Stop here! THIS is the place!!” Nestled along the winding mountain road and hidden by towering pines was the purtiest little spot I knew we had to explore. I’m so happy we did.

This adventure in Big Bear was one of the most fun days I’ve had in a long time. Brit and Adam’s wedding is in six months to the date and I couldn’t be happier for them.
