Maria is the perfect example of why I love photographing seniors/young women so much. There’s nothing more fun than showing a girl the back of my camera throughout the shoot and watching her demeanor light up with confidence. I love bringing out the natural beauty that’s in every one of us, and highlighting the personalities that make us all unique. More importantly, I have a passion for instilling confidence in young women through photos, despite how shy or inadequate they may feel. It’s all about being empowered, knowing your potential, and being comfortable with who God made us to be.

Before this day, Maria told me she had never had professional photos taken of her. Umm, can you tell?

She totally beyond rocked! From the start, we had a blast and were super comfortable together. I suppose she has the experience in front of people and cameras, seeing as she is talented performer at Spotlight Youth Theater! I adore her dimpled smile and bright eyes that go perfectly with her bouncy curls and sweet personality. She’s going to go places.  I watched her grow up from Sunday school until now – maturing into a mature woman with a sweet and determined soul.
