Earlier this year, I sat in the nursery of my church rocking a baby, watching another play with his toys, and chatting with Andrea, the other nursery helper for the day. We talked all things work, school, and boys (of course!). Andrea was single, but told me about her thoughts of signing up for a dating website, and how she had a mix of curiosity and hesitation. I remember telling her who knows? God works in unique ways. My own husband and I fell in love over 12 months of phone calls and skype sessions.
Fast forward a few months, and we didn’t get to talk much again, until she contacted me recently to ask about engagement photos. Wait, what? Ah! I didn’t even know she was dating.
Alex and Andrea met online shortly after Andrea and I talked, quickly became close friends, and learned in just a few months that they were right for each other. Amazing how that works sometimes. Alex is studying a pastoral degree, and Andrea is hopeful for a future as an esthetician. The wedding is next year, and I couldn’t be more happy for them!
We had a great time walking around downtown St. Charles, and exploring a forest preserve nearby. Despite the light rain that interrupted us, it was still a fun and successful day.
Wishing you two all the best!
